Port of Miami River:

The Miami River and its working waterfront have a history rich in maritime commerce serving the Miami community. The Miami River marine industry has been providing cargo shipping services to the Bahamas and Caribbean including Central America for many years. Most recently since the attacks of 9/11, security and other shipping, safety and environmental regulations have made it more difficult for smaller niche market operators to successfully comply and continue to operate as they have in the past. SSL is located at The Port of Miami River Terminal (POMRT). The company Santé Shipping Lines (SSL) was founded to provide shipping service to the Caribbean and Central America from our terminal on the Miami River located at 3001 NW South River Drive. We have the newest and most modern terminal on the river and are fully US Coast Guard compliant with a federally approved Facilities Security Plan. The management philosophy of SSL is to take a highly professional and efficient business model approach to serve our customers.

Santé Shipping Lines is expanding services into Costa Rica and Nicaragua. SSL will be providing added service from the Port of Miami.  Our terminal provider will be the Port of Miami Terminal Operating Company (POMTOC). POMTOC has recently invested in the implementation of chassis cameras which will further enhance the processing of the gate transactions through the state of the art Terminal Gate Vision System.  Their 16 lane Gate Complex is able to process 3,200 gate transactions per day which doubles our capacity. POMTOC’s investment in leading edge software and terminal operations technology was a major step towards maximizing the efficiency of POMTOC for SSL customers at the Port of miami.
